Rock Creek Lake Campground

Rock Creek Lake’s campground has 28 sites, many of them walk-in tent sites.  Except for the group site, all the sites here at the lake are not reservable. 

The walk-in sites are relatively secluded and great for families and couples, but many of the campground’s other sites are located directly on the road that winds around to the lake’s inlet.  Those sites, most of them RV sites, receive a good amount of both vehicle and foot traffic, and are consequently prone to noise and disturbances. 

Obviously, being on the lake is this campground’s major draw.  Fishermen, hikers and campers enjoy this campground for its beauty, as well as its convenient proximity to fishing, hiking trails and facilities present at Rock Creek Lakes Resort.  However, for quiet family camping it’s not the best in the canyon due to over-abundance of people that use the lake on a daily basis.
