Lower Rush Creek Campground

Click to Locate Crags on an Area MapLower Rush Creek is located in south west Modoc County a short distance off of Highway 299.  Access from Hwy 299 starts out paved but then becomes a good dirt road.

The sites are set among fairly shady deciduous trees and pines on Rush Creek.  Camp sites along the creek are shadier and prettier.  There is plenty of places to fish nearby, if that's your game, or you can drive to the top of Manzanita Lookout if you prefer to Four-Wheel.  Bathrooms are nice and clean.  Reviewed 08/1998.
