Nine
of the 11 sites in Big Meadow are located within
feet of Rock Creek and are shaded beautifully by
pines. The sites are spread out well, and are
therefore relatively secluded from one another.
The 2 meadow sites receive more sun than those
sites located on the creek, for those that enjoy
sun-bathing. This is an extremely popular
campground for good reason. It’s one of the
nicest in the Eastern Sierra, period. The map of
the campground on this page is a bit outdated in
that the meadow sites are numbers 10 and 11, not
numbers 3 and 5, but you get the idea of how the
campground is laid out. Sites in Big Meadow are
not reservable. Thanks to the
