Meadow View Campground
Plumas National Forest - Beckwourth Ranger District

Click to Locate Meadow View on an Area Map

Meadow View is located over the steep Doyle Grade (County Road 331) approximately 10 miles west of US 395 at Doyle.  The road turns to dirt half the way up but is passable to passenger cars if driven carefully.  The Meadow View Guard Station is next door.

Sites are located in a light pine forest cover in one simple loop.  Some sites have good shade, others are in the open.  Although not as pretty as the nearby Laufman or Frenchman camps, solitude is almost guaranteed.

There's not much to do out here, except for off-road vehicular travel.  It's a good drive to get to anywhere.  There is no fishing in the immediate vicinity, but there may be some in Last Chance Creek 1-1/2 miles west.  Not much more to say, it's quiet, private and clean.  Reviewed 06/01.
