This is the second camp in a row along Medicine Lake, a pretty lake in remote Northern California that is in the center of a volcano which blew it's top.  This camp is set among old growth pines on the lakeshore.  I personally prefer this one over the others, but they all are very similar.

This camp has more lakefront spots than the others, and they have great to spectacular views.  If you are going to be boating, you can't go wrong with the lakefront sites.  You can pull your boat right up to many sites, the rocky ones are better for views and swimming.

There are Bathrooms strewn about the whole campground and the Modoc National Forest does an awesome job keeping facilities clean and functional.  The courteous Rangers patrol often and keep the place very tranquil.  Reviewed 08/1998.
