Medicine Lake Campground
Modoc National Forest - Doublehead Ranger District

This is the 3rd campground on the road around the Northern shore of Medicine Lake.  It is a nice, clean campground.  The best sites are the ones on the lake, of course.  The first lake sites are grassy, ideal for boatgoers to shove off from.  The ones toward the rear are rockier, but are very scenic.

Come early to get a lakefront site, they go really fast.  None of the campgrounds here are busy, but the lakefront sites will fill up every weekend.  You can almost have your pick of every other non-lakefront campsite.  No Reservations accepted.  The Bug Factor is average in the grassy lake sites, low in the rocky lake sites and elsewhere.  Reviewed 08/1998.
