Valley of Fire Campground
Nevada
Division of State Parks -
Valley of Fire State Park
My family went camping at the Valley of Fire this past
weekend. We had a great time. We stayed in the second
campground for two nights, I believe it was called Arch Rock
Campground. It was more rustic, but more secluded.
The sites
are tucked away into the red rocks. The main campground is
named Atlatl, it has showers, but was very open and flat.
Together with both campsites there are 51 units available. It
was clean and lots of hikes and rock scrambling. My two little
girls loved the fantastic rock formations.
The visitors center
was informative and we then went on the White Dome Hike, it
had really cool narrows. The colors were fantastic. This is a
great late Fall, Winter, or early Spring camp, would not be
pleasant in the summer, unless your a desert tortoise! The
night sky was beautiful against the weird rock shapes. We plan
to return before it gets to hot! --My thanks to
the McLean family for this review.
