Kingston Campground
Humboldt-Toiyabe Nat'l Forest - Austin Ranger District

Click to Locate Kingston on an Area Map

This campground is located deep in Kingston Canyon, just west of the town of Kingston, along Kingston Creek in the Toiyabe Range in Central Nevada.  Just a little further up the road is Groves Lake, which is regularly stocked with fish by Nevada Division of Wildlife.

The sites are all scattered among really dense shrubbery and trees, so privacy is not a problem.  Sites closest to Kingston Creek seem to be the best, but they are closer to the road so they are subject to road noise and dust.

Weekends in season are usually busy with fishermen and off-roaders, so you'll need to arrive early to get a spot because no reservations are accepted.  And be prepared for company.  Reviewed 07/98, 05/01.
