This
is the only campground on Walker Lake. There is a State
Recreation Area with a day use area (no camping), and 2 BLM
primitive recreation areas (camping allowed, but no
facilities). This camp is basic, typical of BLM camps.
The sites are set up on a steep hill
overlooking Walker Lake. The campground is basically one
big gravel area. Each site with a picnic table, shade
verandah and barbecue grill. Otherwise there is no shade to speak
of, but this camp is mostly used for fishermen and RV'ers. The view over Walker Lake is beautiful, great
sunsets and sunrises. The scenic rating is only a two
because of the ugly, spartan facilities (but functional) and
the barren landscape of the campground. Boat Ramp.
