Baker
Creek Campground
National Park
Service - Great Basin National Park
This camp is located along Baker Creek only a short distance up
a gravel road from the Park Entrance and the Lehman Caves Visitor
Center. The Baker Lake Trailhead is a 1/2 mile farther at the end of
the gravel road.
Baker Creek
is a nice campground in a scenic canyon. The camp is clean and well
taken care of. I spotted mule deer all over when I was here.
The camp is a great option to the Lehman Creek camps, and is typically
less crowded (barring holiday weekends, which fill up all the camps).
There
is a group campground located downstream in Baker Creek Canyon called
Grey Cliffs. It can be reserved through the Visitor's Center at
Great Basin National Park. It can accommodate groups up to 50.
The sites
along the creek appear to be the best. A few of the sites in the front
loops are in the open. There are bathrooms in both loops.
