Click to Locate Bird Creek on an Area MapWell, contrary to what I thought, Bird Creek is not a campground.  Maybe it used to be, and it looks like it was.  But for whatever reason, the Forest Service has designated this as a Picnic Area only and Camping is prohibited.

Bird Creek has a good flow and runs year round above the campground, but like all the perennial creeks in this area, water is diverted out of the stream bed into an aqueduct below the campground.  There is hiking at the end of the road.  Reviewed 06/01.
