Markleeville Campground
Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest - Carson Ranger District
Longitude -119.77325, Latitude 38.69807

Click to Locate Markleeville Campground on an Area Map The Markleeville Campground is located a 1/2 mile south of the community of Markleeville, California along Highway 89. The campground is located down a access road that rins down a good size bluff to Markleeville Creek.

This campground and it's sites are right on the banks of Markleeville Creek. This is a tributary of the East Fork of the Carson River. The creeks in this area are well known to anglers, especially those fly fishing. The back sites along the river are pretty, green and well shaded. The front two sites are pretty spartan, with little to no shade and a view of a sagebrush covered hill. The campground is small with attentive hosts (in season). The nifty town of Markleeville is only 5 minutes away (limited services). Reviewed 08/1998.
