Tioga Lake Campground is located at the top of Lee Vining Canyon near Tioga Pass on Highway 120. The East Entrance to Yosemite National Park is just 2 miles away over Tioga Pass. The Tioga Lake Store is only 1/2 mile away offering gas and supplies.

Tioga Lake is one gem of a campground. The campground is small with one simple loop. Some of the sites are on the lake side, but are separated from the lake by a green meadow. The ones not on the lake side are elevated, offering lake views. In fact, almost every site has some sort of lake view.

Tioga Lake is a beautiful alpine lake. Some great pictures can be had here at sunrise. Since the camp is small and near Yosemite and downright beautiful, it is full every weekend. It can be hard to get a spot on most weekdays, too. Reservations, sadly are not available online. Reviewed 06/2000.
