Camping Guide Nevada has not visited Beaver Dam State Park and it's campgrounds. However, CGN Reader Bill, visited Beaver Dam State Park in July 2006, and offer the following comments:
I have been to Beaver Dam 3 or 4 times. Not crowded....once I was the only camper there all week end. Have never seen it more than 1/2 full. 2 loops for tents & RVs, u can drive approx 1 mile further past the initial camp site entrances to a more primitive camp ground that doesn't allow RVs. There are pit toilets. Some Shade.
Easy hike to the dam and some other interesting hikes including a very small hot spring and an arch. No host. it is a 28 mile grated dirt road to camp ground, easily navigated as long as it's not spring or have had heavy rains. Fishing has been not very productive for me but quiet and relaxing.
