There is no longer a campground at Gap Mountain. The Bureau of Land Management closed it in 2000 due to budget cutbacks. The Nevada Divion of Wildlife does offer a primitive camp in the Kirch Wildlife Management Area called Dave Deacon, approxinately 15 miles away.
