Well, this is the only campground I couldn't give at least a Scenic Rating of 2. This is a Rest Area that has overnight facilities. Don't confuse this rest area with typical highway rest areas.
The campground is basically just a big gravel pad at the bottom of a desolate valley. Maps show Saulsbury Wash is within the Toiyabe National Forest, and technically it is, but there is not a tree within view.
Campsites are spread out on the gravel (wouldn't want to sleep on it) with no ground vegetation. There are a few planted trees but they will do nothing for shade. Sites are impeccably clean, probably from little use, but the bathrooms were very, very grotesque at review. I wouldn't even list Saulsbury Wash, but someone traveling through the area may need somewhere to camp, and I want to include every public camp in Nevada, so here it is. Reviewed 03/2000.
