Cleve Creek camp is located on the east side of the Schell Creek Range approximately 45 miles east of Ely. It is located down a good dirt road 2 miles from SR 893. The road is accessible to 2WD vehicles if driven with obvious care.
The camp is grouped into two sections, the North Area and South Area. The North Area has two sites, one labeled for a camp host (but there was no host present at review time). They are located under cottonwoods.
The South Area is spread out on top and below a small bluff. Sites #3 and #4 are out in the open looking down onto Cleve Creek. Each has a shade awning. Sites #5 - #8 are located down below along the creek with decent shade from mature cottonwoods.
After review and looking at the satellite photos (below), I believe there are more sites along Cleve Creek east of site #2 in the North Camping Area. This was not apparent when I was here because there was a very large group in Site #2 and they were blocking the road headed east.
Visited June 2001.
