East Creek camp is located in the Duck Creek Area northeast of McGill in the Schell Creek Range. SR 486 (Duck Creek Road) from US 93 is paved, but the road that heads up East Creek Canyon is fair gravel (passable to most 2WD cars).
Campsites are located at the end of East Creek Road over a 3/4 mile stretch. Sites are moderate to densely forested with aspen, piñon and junipers. Sites #1 - #4 are set along the access road and east creek. Site #1 is the best of these with dense foliage and a couple of wooden bridges. Sites #5 - #7 are set in the loop at the end of the road. Site #5 is the best of these right on the creek set in lush grass and dense aspen.
East Creek does flow year round, but it is not a hearty stream mid to late in the season. Sites #2 - #4 are located a long way from the bathrooms. Garbage cans are located conveniently to most sites.
Visited June 2001.
